PURA VIDA - ( Limited Edition )

This release marks a special moment in my life! Turning 40 soon and having the blessing of having a family plus being a father is priceless. 

 

I’ve never really spoken about my personal struggles and health issues. I was diagnosed with chronic aniexty, depression, and PTSD at a young age. 

 

At 19, I encountered my very first aniexty attack in college during class time. It was a moment that redefined my way of thinking. I had to learn how to control it and not let it take over my life. 

 

At 22, I had a near death experience on the freeway. I lost control of my car and spun out into the middle of the road. 

All oncoming traffic came to a screeching halt! Luckily, no one hit me and I managed to pull to the side of the freeway. 

 

At 24, I lost my father to cancer. I remember not grieving properly and had a massive aniexty attack that had built up. I thought I was having a heat attack. 

I began to consider therapy for a second time in my life. Best decision I ever made. To this day, I use therapy. 

 

At 37, my son was born. I remember every little moment. When he was born crying and then heard my voice he slowly stopped crying. The most amazing feeling in the world!

 

I held him and my perspective of life change drastically. I now can’t imagine a world where my son doesn’t exists. I understand how my parents must of felt about me. 

 

Now, almost 40, I’ve realized I still have a lot more to learn, comprehend, and discipline myself to do everyday. Life is strange at times. We all have our battles and blessings. I won’t preach, but rather show by example. 

 

This a promise I made to myself so my son will see adversity makes you stronger and gives  you “PURA VIDA” ( Pure Life ).
